Si, the one, the only, Abydos of Starga. . .not really. This is Abydos in Egypt, the original Abydos, which I visited in 2007 with a Study Abroad Trip (note to self: never be an assistant leader to 53 participants again. I treasure that little bit of sanity I have left.)This of course is much cooler than what a certain TV series made it out to be; the gigantic wall with all the names of the pharaohs carved in cartouches was one of the coolest moments of this trip.
